Places to relax and chill out in South Delhi

It will be completely wrong to assess the vast potential of Delhi as just the capital city of India. In fact, the variety of options for tourist spots offered by Delhi is an active evidence of the intermingling of different cultures, architectural patterns, heritage spirit and the tremendous power to create something new. Delhi sightseeing cannot be restricted to the gathering of knowledge or clicking pictures in the bustling city, but it is something much more, almost like a variety of colour spread across a large palette.

Whether it is the world-famous Qutab Minar, or the Lotus Temple, or the Nehru Place or the Safdarjung Tomb, there is no denying the fact that South Delhi offers some of the best places to chill out, hang around with friends, or to go for an extended vacation package or just local sightseeing tours.

The historical places and the monuments

It is often told that to know a place better, it is mandatory to dig deep into the historical and cultural roots of that place. This is also true for Delhi, as it presents a wide range of historical monuments and architectures which are evidence to the rich cultural heritage of the city.

It is an important part of Delhi tourism, and more than an aggregation of historical facts, the Qutab Minar is a feast for the eyes. The entire Qutab Complex is a place to hang out with friends and acquaintances.

Lotus Temple

The Lotus Temple is also a memorable place located in South Delhi, and as the name suggests, the dome-like structure of this temple is in the form of the petals of a lotus flower. The curiosity about this temple will be aroused by the fact that an Iranian Canadian architect had designed this structure and it displays a neat and careful arrangement of twenty seven white petals. This is one of the most popular tourist attractions in South Delhi, and it is also a place to enjoy after a hard day’s work.

Delhi sightseeing is also undertaken by many of the notable foreign delegates and dignitaries, who visit Delhi for important business and political meetings and conferences. So, it is one of their prerogatives to visit some of the uncommon places in south Delhi, and spend their time in a state of rich luxury and comfort.

Places for romance and spending quality time with your partner

Delhi sightseeing can be made more conspicuous if the tourists plan to spend quality romantic time with their partners, in some of the most beautiful tourist spots in Delhi.
